Hope 101 is a relational transitional housing program which is a ministry of Family of God Community Church and community partners. Newaygo County has a great unmet need for transitional housing.

"Hope 101" is a 3 apartment home at 101 Quarterline in Newaygo that was purchased by FOGCC in December 2014.  Renovation is nearly complete.  The apartments  will provide housing for up to 6 months to persons who are willing to set goals and do the work necessary to become self sufficient.  Referrals will be made by area social service agencies, churches, schools, or individuals.  A professional case manager, associated with Arbor Circle in Newaygo, will work with the Hope 101 Steering Committee to screen applicants and support program participants as they set goals and work to accomplish them.

Related services, provided by various agencies and members of our congregation and the community, will include: professional counseling, employment assistance and counseling, parenting guidance, financial planning and budgeting, personal support and mentoring and other services as needed. Each adult resident will have a two person team of mentors to walk alongside them. Participants will be invited to participate in activities of our church but there will be no pressure or expectation that they will do so.

HOPE 101, as a ministry of Family of God Community Church, connects our passion to provide safe places to live for our brothers and sisters in Christ locally and globally. This housing ministry speaks to our mission of putting love in action, by welcoming, witnessing and worshiping. May this purpose continue to define who we are and give us an identity in the Newaygo community that will help us be the family of God.
